Literature Text

Atlas -- with the world draped on your shoulders
Where do you turn?
When your life shatters like an egg,
Where do you find your Yoke?
Childlike innocence falling from over burdened eyes
As the world breaks backs,
Shrouding the days to come with darkness.
The Folly of Pride.
We were never mean to bear this burden alone.
Atlas -- At your breaking point,
Will you swallow your "strength"
And admit your weakness?
Relinquish your oppression:
The world is but a marble in His hands.
Breathe easy for The Sculptor knows your pain.
He will not leave you in your misery.
Take up His Yoke
And find solace in His Promises.
Let This Lamp guide you in your blindness.
Atlas -- find your freedom in submission.
Then Jesus said, "come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let Me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear and the burden I give you is light."
-- Matthew 11:28-30
